Teaser Tuesday 148: Merry Christmas, Baby

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

* Grab your current book or recent read.
* Share a few "teaser" sentences from somewhere in the book.
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away. You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title and author so that other participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teaser!

I wasn't planning to read this one for at least another month, but, well... When I couldn't sleep last Friday night, I wasn't in the mood for the other book I had started, so grabbed the topmost book from the pile on my nightstand. Merry Christmas, Baby is a November 2011 3-in-1 release by Vicki Lewis Thompson, Jennifer LaBrecque, and Rhonda Nelson that can still be ordered through some online sites (Amazon) or found in used bookstores.

Here are a couple of teasers from the book.

She clutched his shoulders as the room seemed to spin. When he lifted his head to smile down at her, she realized the room hadn’t been spinning, but she had.

("It’s Christmas, Cowboy!" by Vicki Lewis Thompson (A 'Sons of Chance' novella)

~*~*~*~

Teddy took a sip of her wine and nodded. "I’m fine, but it was that obvious?" Okay, she was completely mortified.

("Northern Fantasy" by Jennifer LaBrecque)

~*~*~*~

So the mystery woman was naked. In his parents’ hot tub.

If she was pretty, too, then maybe his Christmas wasn’t going to suck so much after all.

("He’ll Be Home For Christmas" by Rhonda Nelson)

ABOUT THE BOOK:
This is a 3-in-1 romantic anthology

Who will you find under your Christmas tree?

A Cowboy?
Ranch hand Tucker Rankin isn't crazy about the holidays...until a wintry night before Christmas, when Lacey Evans shows him how much fun it is to be nestled all snug in her bed....

A wealthy New Yorker?
Stockbroker Jared Martin needs to get away, and Alaska's the perfect place to unwind. Especially once actress Theodora "Teddy" Monroe gets him to loosen his tie--and take it all off

Or maybe even a man in uniform?
Soldier Silas Davenport is on Christmas leave. But when he arrives at his parents' home, no one is there...except for the irresistible Delphie Moreau. And she's one gift he won't be exchanging!

Beth: Yes, it was definitely some exciting reading. And now I have to go back to the other book, LOL.

Laurel-Rain: Definitely! And the great plus of being single? You can read in bed, without worrying about waking anyone else up or having to go out to the living room.

Paulita: Indeed! ;-D

Nise': I don't know about where you are, but - though we haven't yet had snow - the weather has been cold enough that you can't help thinking about winter and Christmas.

JC: Thank you!
