It wasn't too bad inside city limits, with 1/4 to 1/2 mile visibilty during the worst of it. |
The fog shrouded Dunn's Marsh -- the pond is usually visible from the road. |
It was much worse outside the city, especially in low-lying areas. |
There's a barn back there -- really. |
It was difficult to see oncoming vehicles. At least this driver was smart enough to turn his lights on -- we saw too many that didn't. |

Even though it made for lovely pictures I hope you see less of the fog in the season.
Everything is more beautiful in the fog! Lovely shots.
Beautiful, all those mysterious sights!
I am glad you made if home safely, though.
Happy Sky Watch,
Merisi
I love foggy mornings. So very beautiful.
Ugh. I hate, hate HATE driving in fog that thick. *shudders* I like to be able to SEE where I'm going.
Love the pics, though. :-D
Thanks, Lea!
Mridula: Thankfully, we don't get fog this dense too often, but we'll probably see a couple more days like this before spring arrives.
Ladyfi: It can lend beauty to the land, but can also be downright eerie.
Merisi: Thank you, and thanks for visiting!
Optimistic: I like foggy mornings better when I don't have to be on the roads - the number of idiots out there seems to grow exponentially in bad weather.
Jana: I like seeing where I'm going, too. When visibilty is a quarter mile or less, I'd rather not be on the roads.
Hope the fog did not linger, I would feel feel quite melancholic.
Fog can be tough, but it sure does make for some dramatic imagery.
wow, great photos, not much fun for driving in but sure is scenic, thanks for sharing and thanks for your kind comments on my post
Serline: The fog lingered throughout the day, sometimes lighter, sometimes denser, and did not lift until around 7 or 8 o'clock that night. Thankfully, we have not had more during the past week.
Sandy: Yes, it does lend some drama to the landscape.
Pearl: Yes, it certainly makes transportation difficult, though it can be scenic at times.
Some great captures in here. I can never get a good fog picture.
Thanks, Alice -- and I was in a moving vehicle for some of these! : D
