Another rainy day . . .The camera was actually straight--it's just the
angle at which I was sitting that makes this lamp post look crooked.
There's something stark and lonely about this shot that I like.
NatureFootsteps: I would gladly send some of the rain your way, were it possible. We had such a wet June that we already had twice the normal June-Aug amount. July has been a bit dryer, but there comes a point you just want a nice, comfortable dry stretch!
Jana: Thanks, ominous clouds always make for nice dramatic shots. Of course, about ten minutes after I took this I was soaked. Considering it was around 90F, it actually felt good...until about fifteen minutes after the rain had passed. Then it felt twice as humid as it had before. :-\
Yes. It's the kind of sky that can make you happier or sadder, depending where you started out. I'm not sure where you live, but it reminds me of Pacific Northwest sky (and of the reason why we spend our winters in Florida)...because we need sunshine in our lives at this stage of the game ;>)

rain is good. You can send some of it to us. :)
Love the ominous clouds. We've had a few of them here this week. Always make for good and moody photos. ;-)
That's a lovely rainy day shot.
Nice pic. Love the clouds...

Carver: Thank you -- at least the rain didn't last long, and there was no thunder or lightning to go with it.
Thanks, Greg -- and thanks for visiting!
Nicely composed....
