Skywatch Friday 45

More gray, dismal skies here this past weekend . . .

Your skies have more blue than ours at present. We have a holiday weekend, and they say the weather is going to improve. I hope so!

Shelley: I hope the weather improves for your holiday weekend. These two photos were taken last weekend, and we had heavy clouds through Thursday morning. The sun actually came out for a bit yesterday afternoon, and we have sun and partly cloudy skies today. No more rain in the forecast until Monday night!

*shiver* Those skies look kinda cold.

I like gray skies so I think this is lovely!

Sigh, it's that time of year. I like the cranes reaching to the clouds.

Jana: That's probably because it has been cold here. Low 40s all this past week, with rain last weekend and early part of the week. We finally have sun today, but it's also really windy. Just can't win, LOL!

Wendy: Depends on the sort of clouds. A flat cloud cover is boring, but storm clouds can be fun and interesting to watch--not to mention photograph. ☺

Hi Wayne! Yes, it is definitely that time of year when we see more clouds than sun. I only wish the cranes dotting the skyline were of the feathered rather than construction variety! :D

it looks like that where I live too.

Wonderful shots of grey sky.

At least there's a glimpse of blue skies in the second shot. Hoping the sun comes out for you soon.

NatureFootstep: Yes, I guess it's that time of year. At least we're seeing some sun today.

Rajesh: Thank you!

LadyFi: Thanks, we are seeing a few glimpes of blue sky and sun today, in amongst all the clouds. Now, if only it weren't so windy! LOL ☺

Thanks, Laura! ☺

The clouds rolled in on me last night. Now the leaves that are still in the trees are acting like tortured ballerinas.

Tortured ballerinas...nice imagery! I see that your area is supposed to get more snow this week. *shudders* So glad that's not me!

We're rugged individualists out here. Even the weather doesn't do what it's supposed to. In spite of the bitter cold, the snow is off the mountains today when it was plentiful a couple of days ago. *shrug* I just huddle indoors and wit for spring once I've given up on the home improvement projects.

Yeah, I tend to hibernate come winter as well. Since the neck injury a decade or so ago, I can't handle being out in the cold too long. My neck aches something fierce when it gets chilled, which can trigger a migraine. If I'm going to be laid up inside, I figure I might as well skip the getting cold part and head straight for the couch. :D
