Thursday Thirteen 307: Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween, everyone! Here are a few pics taken around the neighborhood this week—and if you missed yesterday’s Ghost Pirates post, be sure to check it out. It’s really quite impressive, honest!

And remember—click on any image if you'd like a slightly larger view.

This photo and the one below are from the same yard, and are only
part of the Halloween montage set up there.

Not sure it was planned, but I think the owl adds so much here.

Apparently, this house suffers from a giant spider infestation. Thankfully,
I did not see any of the offending arachnids about.

I wonder how many people have glanced at this house and
thought there was someone standing there? Heeheee...

The sign says it all!

This house had tons of these little ghosts dangling from trees
and bushes, as well as a couple larger ghosts.

Note the "Toy Story" pumpkins on the right! I also love the green one top center.

I feel like I should do more. We've got some spiderwebs strung up around the front porch, but that's about as much as I got done.

This is my favorite holiday and I don't get to enjoy it this year. But I certainly appreciated your photos!

Those are awesome! Our house is so far off the beaten path that no one ever see's our holiday decorations. *sigh* That doesn't stop me from decorating though. I love it. Happy Halloween!

Alice: Hey, spiderwebs are more than some people do. It's interesting to see how decorations can vary from one house or block of a neighborhood to another. Some blocks, there were almost no decorations, but then one block over and it was exactly opposite.

Sandy: Living in an apartment, I don't do more than a window decoration that stays up Oct-Nov, but I love seeing how those in houses decorate.

Anita: Sorry the docs put a damper on your holiday, but hopefully the new tests help figure out what's wrong. Here's to celebrating next Halloween!

Stephanie: I bet your house looks cool no matter what the season or holiday. ☺

Spooky/creepy decorations. :) I don't decorate for Halloween. I put up a fall wreath or two and my two Jack O'Lantern themed lanterns and that's it. Not that I don't enjoy a good Halloween decorated yard, I just don't have the time/energy. I save all that up for Christmas. haha

Jana: Thanks, I always find it interesting to see what people do for both Halloween and Christmas. A couple more weeks and I'll be helping a friend with the latter.

We were way too busy this year and didn't decorate as we have in the past. These are some awesome decorations!!!

'Have a spooktacular good time' - I like that. My fave I guess is the spider web. It looks fascinating to me. Nice nice photos.

Paige: You know I thought of you when I saw the Toy Story pumpkins...right? ☺

Heather said...

Jennifer: Aw, sorry you were too busy to decorate this year. Hope the boys had a fun Halloween anyway!

Hazel: You see a lot of play on words like that this time of year. Other popular ones are "best witches" and "happy haunting." I think the spider webs look cool, but after a month of rain and falling leaves, I'm betting they're not so fun to clean up.

Not many on our block did it, and there were very few trick or treaters. It was kind of disappointing.

Aw, sorry you didn't get more trick-or-treaters. Maybe next year! ;)
