2013 Christmas Lights -- 1

This house is on the opposite side of town, and has been lighting up the neighborhood for a few decades now. I wish I could have taken the time to get more pics--to walk around and get all sides of the house--but it was still snowing, it was late at night, and I did not want to trespass. Looks pretty cool, but can you imagine what their electric bill must be like?

They certainly light up the place.

Seems like it used to be more people around me put up lights for Christmas. We have some strung outside this year, but the plug for it is messed up, so they are never on. Gotta deal with that.

It seems like there aren't as many lights this year, but I think the weather screwed that up for a lot of people. We had January trmps at end of November, not to mention one weekend of solid rain. I was helping a friend with her lights, and we could not get all of her candy canes up this year because the ground was already frozen solid at Thanksgiving.

Wow. Just...wow. Makes my little roofline lights look pitiful. haha

That's probably what happened here too. Not so much the rain, but we had negative highs at the beginning of December. Makes me not want to get out there to do things. This last week warmed up a bit, and lights went up all over.

Jana: Uh-huh -- and this is just a few pics of the front of the house. I honestly wish I could have gotten pics of the sides and back.

Alice: Weather can really put a damper on outdoor decorating. We had to change out a light cord last weekend, and our hands were freezing, just the short time that took. Which is why none of this is coming down for a while. They'll be unplugged, but standing until the snow melts enough to get some of it down.
