Bun Warmer

This design fits an 8x10 frame. I love this series of designs as they can easily be stitched in a few nights. I started this one the eve of December 25 and finished it on December 29 (the cold I awoke with on the 27th slowed me down a bit). When one friend saw the black cat sitting on the oven, he tried telling me I should have made it gray. However, it isn't the gray one who has a habit of jumping up on the counter next to the stove, which made the design appropriate as is. I may change the color of the cat in the next of this series I have planned.

These first two photos show the progress made in the first 24 hours.

A closer view of cat and stove.

Finished, washed and pressed -- and ready to be framed.

Close-up of the stove top and cat.

These canisters were a PITA -- and I just noticed a missed stitch . . .
which tells you how sick I was when I finished it. Eek!

Close-up of toaster (another PITA) and coffee mug.

The finished project -- framed.

Shelley: Isn't this a cute design? I love this series of patterns and wish they hadn't been discontinued. It's really hard to find the ones I missed.

Thanks, Susan! It truly was a quick project. I wish more of them worked up this fast, LOL.

Alice: This entire series is comprised of fun designs and word-play titles.

It's like stitching a cartoon.

Never thought of it that way, but I suppose it is.
