I realize it has been a while since I shared anything crafty, so here are a few small lighthouses I've cross-stitched during the last few weeks. Each square is stitched on 14ct Aida cloth and measures about 4-1/4 inches square. They are stitched from an older leaflet, "The Ultimate Book of Lighthouses," from Treetrunk Designs. This project will be for a friend when finished.

How cute! I love lighthouses.
Cool. Simple, yet they even have shading.
Thanks, Rebecca -- I have more of these to come. *G*
These designs are so simple, some of them were worked up in one night. ☺
Love these. They make me think of my middle sister. She used to be heavily into lighthouses. I say "used to be" because when she got married and merged her house with his, he vetoed all of her lighthouse themed items and she ended up having to give them away. She probably does still like them but just doesn't get to enjoy them like she used to. Which is why this girl *points to self* is staying single, thankyouverymuch. haha
Okay, I know marriage is about compromise, but she shouldn't have had to get rid of all her lighthouse memorabilia just because he didn't like them. I'm sure there are plenty of things of his that she doesn't like, either.
Yeah, he was a controlling butthole when they married and she felt obligated to acquiesce because it was his house that she was moving into and she didn't want to "rock the boat." He's still a butthole most of the time but she finally learned how to stand up for herself. haha
Some people never change, but glad she now stands up for herself. :D
These are amazing! I love lighthouses and these little stitched creations are truly wonderful... works of art.
