I love walking the nearby prairie trails -- they're constantly changing. Thankfully, most of the bicyclists are pretty decent and let you know when they're coming up behind you.
August was pretty nice, for the most past. We had warmer temps and higher humidity last week than we had all summer. Also a lot of rain/storms moving through again, though not as bad as south and east of us.
I wish I had some walking trails/sidewalks like that near my house. Walking on gravel SUCKS and kinda hurts my knees and ankles. And now that the "kids" are back on campus, walking the sidewalks at work is aggravating. I haven't walked in about two weeks. :-(
Jana: I hear you on the gravel. Prior to this summer, I had only walked the Cannonball as far as Westview Ln/SE entrance to Grady Tract as from there westward was gravel and crushed rock. I am so happy Fitchburg finally got round to paving it, and judging by how many people seen when I have extended my walks, others are too.

Love the tall grass prairie trail. Reminds me of our second home in NE Illinois. Gotta watch out for some of those bikers

Looks like it's a little warmer there than here. You know Fall is coming when my dh packs away his Hawaiian shirts.

I stayed in and enjoyed the weekend. ;-)
