Thursday Thirteen 341: Statuesque

On Wednesday, July 23, I arrived early enough for the evening's Concert on the Square to visit the Capitol's observation deck, some 92 feet up. The original plans by George B. Post were for four smaller domes to be placed at the base of the large one. These plans were changed to include four groups of statues by Karl Bitter, symbolizing Faith, Strength, Knowledge, and Prosperity and Abundance. Here below are some of the photographs taken that day.
