Skywatch Friday 76

Autumn is creeping in . . .

The above photos were taken last week, on September 24. Since then, the birch trees on our street have all been blown completely bare by the wind, while others are just starting to turn.

Yes, it is! We drove north this weekend, and the colors were stunning. Still not quite peak, but fabulous!

I'm amazed we haven't had more leaves turning here considering how cold the nights have been. Yours look like just at the beginning.

Karen: Autumn is my favorite time of year, too. I love all the changing leaves and crisp smell to the air.

Beth: I bet that was a drive worth taking!

Alice: I think we are about 50-75% fall color right now. Some trees are already completely bare, others are just starting to change color, and some are in between.

Thanks, Jana. We are at 755 to full peak in our area. The leaves are changing fast and it won't be long before they're all gone.
