Kitty Litter

This is the present I stitched for a friend's birthday. The cat was supposed to be stitched in black, but I change the color to represent her gray kitty. My stitching progress is chronicled below. One of the things I love about these designs is that they can be completed in a week or less.

Day one -- off to a slow start

Day two

Day two close-up

Day three

Day three close-up of corner

Day four

Day five

Day six -- my gray was suddenly not matching, owing to a change
in skeins. I ended up taking it all out and redoing it.

Day seven -- finished, washed, pressed and mounted!

Design from Calico Crossroads
Adapted from the artwork of Kathleen Kelly of Kats by Kelly
Stitched on 14-ct white Aida using DMC 310, 414, and 553
