Friday Skywatch 107

Taken during an hours-long afternoon visit to the UW-Arboretum, 15 May 2015.

Looking across Curtis Prairie towards the Leopold Pines.

Curtis Prairie

Heading south along a trail between Curtis Prairie to the right and
Gallistel Woods to the left -- trail was still wet from early morning rain.

Another view across Curtis Prairie

Clouds and trees reflected in Teal Pond.

More Teal Pond reflections.

Mostly cloudy skies made for a comfortable day of walking.

The sun tries to peak through in late afternoon.

Clouds above Grady Tract.

I once had a friend in Wisconsin who wouldn't stop marveling about how "quickly" the weather would change. Then he visited Montana. That shut him up. Yes, the weather can change quickly in Wisconsin, but you don't generally have two kinds of weather going on at the same time like out here. One day while I was out shopping we went from rain, to clear and hot, to hail, to windy and cold.

No, I guess are weather changes aren't usually THAT extreme, but you never know.
