I was planning on going for a solo drive until my dh pointed out this whole weekend would be filled with drunken drivers. I'll wait until later.
I hope the firework don't get canceled on account of rain!
Oh how nicely done.

Alice: Yeah, drunk drivers are a huge problem on holiday weekends.
Colleen: We had fireworks last weekend, but there were a lot of area fireworks (neighborhood and nearby communities) tonight. We had fair weather today, 82F and light breeze, but it's been hazy the last couple days with smoke from wildfires in Alaska and Canada drifting over the area. We cooked out today, and just came in from doing sparklers and s'mores.
Thanks, Cloudia!
Hope you are having a great Independence Day week-end!
Thanks, Lea -- It was pretty good.
It's funny because I don't generally notice the drunks, but I sure notice the police.
They do tend to step up patrols around major holidays.
