Skywatch Friday 115
I happened to catch some aircraft on film while at the Arboretum a couple weeks ago. First a passenger plane came in from the southeast en route to the airport. He was flying pretty low, so I just barely saw him above the treetops. A few minutes later I heard Med Flight coming in from the southwest, headed for one of the local hospitals.

great shots of the flying objects :)
Great photos--they show how close the flight patterns are over the Arboretum and within the city.
I'm wondering what the red thing is. I had a jet fly by so low and fast last week that a photo would have been impossible.
NatureFootstep: Thank you!
Beth: Thanks, and they certainly do show how low flight patterns over the city are.
Colleen: I believe it's just part of the airplane's tail, probably part of that particular airline's branding.
Crap, that IS a low flying plane. lol
Jana: Yes, though maybe not quite as low as it seems in the photo.
