Skywatch Friday 122

Scenes from an autumn walk . . .

We're just about peak color here, with more trees
changing and dropping their leaves every day.

I saw this family of turkeys, a hen and her juvenile chicks,
twice last week, in almost the same spot both days.

This is either Virginia creeper or poison ivy -- it's
difficult to tell from a distance.

Lovely shade of red . . .

Another one of those silly wild turkeys.

It's beautiful out there lately, isn't it? I spent a couple of hours at Olbrich the other day just taking it all in. Simply driving around is such a sensory pleasure this time of year.

I almost ran over a family of quail today! Been snapping away at the fall colors too.

Autumn is late coming, here in MS. Glad to see y'all are getting to see it. ;-)

Beth: It is a good time of year for just driving around taking in scenery.

Colleen: Watch out for all the fowl out there. The larger birds seem to move about more this time of year, as they forage for feed.

Jana: We're at peak color in our area now, so I'm sure it'll come your way soon. '-)
