Wordless Wednesday 195: November Roses
The following were all photographed in a friend's yard on November 8. It is not usual for roses to still be blooming here in November -- which tells you how mild the month has been so far -- or at least was. While we still had daytime temps in the 50's last week, we also had several nights that dropped below freezing. It's hard to believe we're only a week away from Thanksgiving, as it's still so green here, even without all the leaves. It certainly has not felt like November, though apparently that is to change with the coming weekend. Ah, well . . . it was nice while it lasted.

Beautiful blooms! And it is surprising they are still blooming this late in the year.
Hope you are having a great week!
Lea
Wow, those are stunning roses and sunflowers! It's sad to think they will be gone in the next couple of days. Six or so inches of snow and temps in the teens will be such a drastic change!
Lovely.
I need to have the lawn mowed again but my "grounds keeper" aka "daddy" already put the mower away for the season. Grass (and temps) didn't get the memo that it's autumn.
Thanks, Lea-- It was a bit of surprise to have roses blooming so late. Alas, they are gone now, since we had a few nights below freezing last week.
Beth: They are gone already, after those freezing nights we had last week. I don't know if I'm ready for the snow coming Friday. I'm still recovering from Tuesday's rain. :-\
Jana: It's been that kind of autumn. Seemed weird to be helping Kim set up Christmas lights last weekend while many of her neighbors were mowing their lawns.
Wow, Heather! Where do you live?
Nice photos - thanks for linking up at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2015/11/sunset-on-bay.html. Hope to see you each week!
Hi Sue -- We're in south central Wis, where we've had rare temps in the 60's and 70's this month. At least at start of the month. This week we've been in he 30's and are getting our first snowfall tonight.
We had snow in the yard for most of yesterday. It's melted now, but still chilly.
that red and white rose is to die for. nice shots.
