Skywatch Friday 132

We had a spectacular sunset New Year's Day.

Looking away from the setting sun . . .

Also looking away from the sunset -- loved these ribbons of pink and purple .

Back towards the setting sun . . .

Great captures! I so enjoy those puffy clouds with tinges of pink and orange. We do have some great sunsets around here!

Gorgeous!

Hey, have you been unseasonably warm this year? We are in a deep freeze. It got up to 30 and my mother called it a heat wave.

Beth: Yes, we do -- and this one was especially nice as it had been mostly cloudy all day, clearing just enough for a gorgeous sunset.

Lea: Yes, they do. Have a great week!

Alice: We had unusually warm temps through most of December, even setting a new record high of 60 one day. No snow for Christmas, but finally got some on Dec 28 that has stuck around. This week we have below freezing temps -- only 1F (WC= -10) just before noon today. So not looking forward to catching the bus this week. :-\

I'd offer to trade, but it looks like you're already getting my weather. I'm really looking forward to Spring.
