2016 Valentine Cards

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

In honor of the date, I thought I'd share several "scrap" Valentine cards I made this year. The backgrounds for all of these were made using alternating strips of leftover papers in shades of pink, but you could also use Washi tape for your stripes, if so desired. The rows go in two different directions. A little time intensive, but the effect makes it worth it. I used up some leftover heart diecuts purchased eons ago in some of these, but the green and blue hearts were actually punched from decorative Kleenex boxes.

MATERIALS:

Paper: Scraps of pink patterned paper
Accessories: Printed Greetings; Diecut hearts/greetings (K & Compnay), Heart punches (Marvy Uchida), patterned Kleenex boxes

I got mine Thursday and I love it! So creative! I've actually saved a few tissue boxes with using them for crafts in mind. They make them so pretty now, seems a shame to waste them!

I love all the blue hearts and the shades of purple in the last one.

Jana: Glad you liked! One of the managers at the Craft Market loved that I repurposed tissue boxes.

Alice: Purple? I think your color needs adjusting. These were made with varying shades of pink paper strips. ;-)
