Thursday Thirteen 425: Evening Walk

From a walk along the bike path Tuesday evening. I confess, had I known it was as humid and uncomfortable as it was, I probably would not have gone. Will definitely not be walking tonight, either, as the temp is to reach 90F today, with a heat index near 100. Yuck!

Nice shots. We've had some of that hot, humid weather. Yucky stuff. You were brave to stay out in it.

Thanks, Anita! I won't be walking this evening, as it has been quite uncomfortable here all day and there is a chance of storms later. So glad to work in air conditioning!

Great shots, one and all. Summer passes too quickly, these days.

Lovely flowers! The Sunflowers just scream 'Summer!'
That is way too hot to be outside for long.
Our forecast (northeast MS) for tomorrow is 98F. You can bet I am staying indoors!

It might have been hot and humid, but so pretty. Besides, you don't need excuses to skip out on exercise. So long as you take it slow, it's just as well to go.

Thanks, Ron! I can't believe we're into August already.

Lea: Definitely too hot to be out for long, and it amaze me how many people walk or jog in that kind of heat without taking water or Gatorade with them. Not. Smart!

Alice: As it happens, we had another round of thunderstorms come through Thursday night. Started to rain on my way home, and lasted all evening, and I'm smart enough to know better than to be outdoors in the open during a storm. I did get in a short walk before work Saturday morning, which I will talk about this Thursday.

Colleen: Lots of yellow, white and purple this time of year, so the rare glimpse of pink or any other color is quite a treat.

Thanks, Gemma! I wish I could take credit for it, but that is all compliments of Mother Nature (not to mention birds and squirrels who redistribute seeds).
