Thursday Thirteen 439: Autumn Cards

I had a fairly productive craft day this week, and since I haven't shared anything in recent weeks, I thought I'd share some of the fruits of my labor. These were all made for Thanksgiving or fall birthdays, with one exception. All cards measure 5-1/5 by 4-1/4 inches.

This sympathy card was the one card not made for Thanksgiving or birthday.

A few made for Autumn birthdays . . .

And the rest are all for Thanksgiving . . .

The background for this and the next were made
using strips of coordinating paper scraps. A time-
consuming technique, but a unique result -- no
two cards look exactly alike, even when using the
same materials.

More strips of paper scraps, plus glitter pumpkin tape.

MATERIALS:
Solid Paper: White, Timeless, Lap of Luxury (Core'Dinations)
Decorative Paper: "Harvest" collection (images) (Authentique), Sweater Weather (DCWV), Foil Foliage (Target)

Wonderful!
I like the one with flowers the best, and the white turkey one is very appealing, too.
Hope you are having a great week!

Thanks, Lea! I confess, the one with the flowers is one of my faves, while the white turkey is one of my least faves. :D

Beautiful! So, do you start with old cards as the focal point image and frame them with your art?

Colleen: No old cards were used here. The images are from Authentique's "Harvest" collection, which I see I forgot to note under materials. Will be fixing that.

Those are truly lovely cards. I really enjoyed your Thursday Thirteen. Hard to pick a favorite but it would be the little girl with the Saying of, "Busy Hands make a Happy Heart". So true.

Happy Thanksgiving Heather.

I am always envious of your crafting abilities. I've been three months trying to knit a sweater, and so far it's not even a foot long. :-(

The old illustrations work really well with your color schemes. Nice.

Thanks, Kit!

Anita: Thank you. I'm sure you'll find your knitting rhythm if you just keep at it.

Alice: Thanks, for the most part I chose the matting/background paper to coordinate with the images.
