Teaser Tuesday 358: Quilt or Innocence

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by The Purple Booker. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

* Grab your current book or recent read.
* Share a few "teaser" sentences from somewhere in the book.
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away. You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title and author so that other participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teaser!

This week’s teaser is from Quilt or Innocence by Elizabeth Craig.

Noo-Noo's fur stood up on her back and she growled, as if suddenly realizing the source of the [other dog's] concern.

"Beatrice, there's something lying on the ground over there. Near that group of trees," Posy said in a quiet voice.

(Chapter 2)

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Series: Southern Quilting #1

Retired folk art curator Beatrice Coleman knows everything there is to know about quilts, except how to make them. But with her recent move to Dappled Hills, North Carolina, she’s learning all sorts of new things—including how to solve a murder.

As the newest member of the Village Quilters guild, Beatrice has a lot of gossip to catch up on—especially with Posy’s Patchwork Cottage quilt shop about to close. It seems that Judith, the landlord everyone loves to hate, wants to raise the rent, despite being a quilter herself.

When Judith is found dead, the harmless gossip becomes as intricate patchwork of mischievous motives. And it’s up to Beatrice’s expert eye to decipher the pattern and catch the killer, before her life gets sewn up for good.
