Two vastly different cards created today. The first is a sympathy card for a friend whose grandfather passed away earlier this month at the age of 97. I wanted something simple, but with just a touch of color. Not sure I like the ribbon, but the card needed something for balance. Of course I remembered that tiny butterfly stamp after I had already punched the holes and threaded the ribbon.
Stamps: The Gifts of Spring, Memory of the Heart (Stampin' Up)
Ink: Basic Black, Not Quite Navy
Paper: Not Quite Navy, White
Accessories: Navy Grosgrain ribbon (WalMart), Black Brads (JoAnn's), Le Plume Markers
And here we have one of the Easter cards done today. A friend sent me these yellow notecards, and as soon as I saw them I had the idea to stamp Crosshatch in a similar color for a background, then pair it with stamps from The Gifts of Spring stamp set.
