Interesting TT. Yowza, H!Okay, I'll admit it, I didn't know quite a few of them, but then again, this is coming from the person who never knew 'slippy' wasn't a word. '-)

Whoazers! I can't even pronounce some of these.

Hehe...I was hoping people would get a little kick out of this one. I admit, some I knew...some I wasn't sure of and had to look up.

Elle~ Glad you liked 8(2), lol. :D

RG~ I admit to watching some of the semi-finals last year and all of the finals. I might not have known how to pronounce or spell half of them, but it was an interesting experience. (We are SUCH word nerds, aren't we??)

Rae~ Slippy: adjective. As in, "it's getting slippy out." *WEG* *Ducks out of reach*

I knew 10 of them. Interesting snippet. Thallasse is Greek for blue, hence where they get naval from. :-)

Is this the spelling contest where a NZer has made it to the semi-finals? It was on the news tonight. Her kiwi accent confused the judges ;)

My favorite t word is trichotillomania--compulsive hair pulling. Over the 13 letter limit, but still a good one.
