OMG -- Badger Bound!

So I get home from work tonight and slog down to the mailbox, expecting the usual junk mail and bills. Walking back to my apartment I scan the leavings for the day. Not for Me...Not for Me...not for Me...Not for -- Oh, wait! This one has my name on it. Cool, a letter from Melanie. I'd been wondering if she had received the last letter and stuff I sent her. Perusing the envelope I see she has written a message in the lower right corner: "Open Immediately! Time sensitive material." What the...? Puzzled, I feel the envelope as I quicken my pace. What could she be sending me that's time sensitive? Definitely not pictures...maybe a postcard invite for some kind of home party? Reaching my apartment I toss the other junk on a table and hasten to my desk. Sit down, slit envelope...and my jaw literally dropped to the ground as I saw what was inside.

SHE SENT ME TWO TICKETS TO SATURDAY'S BADGER FOOTBALL GAME VERSUS THE CITADEL!

It seems Mel got a couple of tickets from work but then ended up having to go up north this weekend. So my sister and I are now going to the game tonmorrow. H nearly deafened me when I told her I'd been given two tickets and asked if she wanted to go. This game is only on the new Big Ten channel tomorrow, so most Badger fans (which would have included ME) won't even get to watch the game. Talk about being psyched! GO BADGERS!

I made the card below this evening to send to Mel. The patterned paper I've been hoarding a few years now seemed quite appropriate.

Stamps: Best Blossoms (Stampin' Up)
Ink: Real Red (SU)
Paper: Real Red, Basic Black, White; Patterned paper from unknown vendor (I couldn't find vendor name on it and a google search was unsuccessful)
Accessories: Ticket corner punch (SU)
