I know, I know--I haven't taunted your credit cards enough this week with my previous post? Well, this is one of those books that merit promotion.
The Power of Love is an anthology of short stories by some of the best of today's romance writers: Lori Foster, Toni Blake, Erin McCarthy, Lucy Monroe, Dianne Castell, LuAnn McLane, Janice Maynard, Rosemary Laurey, Kay Stockham, J.C. Wilder, and Patricia Sargeant. Proceeds from the anthology will benefit the Battered Women's Shelter of Cincinnati. Definitely a worthy cause, right?
Synopsis
Twelve all-new stories of women's resilience, empowerment, and fulfillment, by bestselling and award-winning authors. In this engaging anthology of never-before-published stories, twelve authors are united by their unique visions of the female experience... A young woman is torn between the security of her fiancĂ© and the excitement of an old flame...a desperate wife is forced into the workplace for the first time in her life...an ambitious professional woman finally finds the courage to take control of her career—and her man...an emotionally fragile divorcee finds resolve in the ethereal visitations of an archangel...
These are just some of the women who discover and rediscover their own wonderfully fallible but ultimately strong selves in the shadow of love— romantic love, platonic love, new love, and lost love. Readers will be touched, inspired, charmed, and entertained by these original stories of disparate longings, unsettled lives, and the power of love.

Great anthology. I bought Power of Love at Lori Foster's Readers' 'N Writers' conference in Cincinnati a couple weeks ago and I've read most of it already. Were you at the get together?
Hi Ashley! I'm most of the way through the book as well and enjoying it. I was not at last weekend's event, though I have met Lori twice previously, and am friends with Toni. I'd promote this book even without that connection! ;-)
You did not taunt credit card, you killed it! :) Now I want all of those books! Except the one I already have (thank you!). Although I have a tbr-pile about a foot high. Not enough. :)

Nina~ Aw, poor credit card. I hope it recovers! *WEG*
You're welcome for the book. TBR piles can never be tall enough, though I think it's possible they can be too big. I'm so glad I don't have to move all my boxes of books on my own. Those who have agreed to help have no idea what they're getting themselves into. Mwahaha...
Paper bags my friend. Trust me, it is better to move books in paper bags. Not as heavy as boxes with books which tend to stay on the ground with the bottom of the box while you lift the rest. Tried that too.
I did tell you that sister vowed to never give me another book when she helped me move once right? She thinks I have too many of them. Yeah right... As with the tbr-pile, one can never have too many books. Going on about 4,000 right now and still collecting. Mom brought home a new book today for me to read. Yay!
