Thursday Thirteen 140: Books on the TBB

After more than a month's hiatus (read here if you missed it), I am trying to ease my way back into Thursday Thirteen. My brain still feeling like mush and having no better ideas -- and because I really don't talk books enough around here (no sarcasm there, huh?) -- here are thirteen books being released over the next few months on the TBB (to be bought) list. Now to land that bookstore job so I can actually afford to buy them, or hope that a few of these turn up for my birthday (grin)...

* If Books Could Kill by Kate Carlisle (A Bibliophile Mystery #2; Feb 2, 2010)

* Out of Body by Stella Cameron (Court of Angels #1; Mar 1, 2010)

* Plaster & Poison by Jennie Bentley (a DIY Mystery #3; Mar 2, 2010)

* Red Delicious Death by Sheila Connolly (An Orchard Mystery #3; Mar 2, 2010)

* Mad, Bad and Blonde by Cathie Linz (Mar 2, 2010)

* In Serena's Web by Kay Hooper (Reprint; Mar 23, 2010)

* Out of Mind by Stella Cameron (Court of Angels #2; Mar 30, 2010)

* Curt to the Corpse by Lucy Lawrence (Decoupage Mystery #2; Apr 6, 2010)

* Undead and Unwelcome by MaryJanice Davidson (MMP; April 27, 2010)

* Savor the Moment by Nora Roberts (Bride Quartet #3; Apr 27, 2010)
(Actually, a friend is buying and sharing this series, but I still look forward to reading it!)

* Out of Sight by Stella Cameron (Court of Angels #3; Apr 27, 2010)

* Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris (Sookie Stackhouse #10; May 4, 2010)

Gosh, is the Sookie Stackhouse series up to #10 already?

Ms Menozzi said...

I've learned not to compile TBB lists. They just get me into *more* trouble when I finally land at the bookshop! :)

Happy reading, though!

Happy reading! I need to do more of it. Right now I am reading a YA novel. Speak. It's really different, and really good.

Oh, I like your reading list. Happy TT!

In Serena's Web I have in the original Loveswept printing. In fact, I have that entire series in the original Loveswept printings. hee.

Good luck getting the list...

Jon Stewart is coming out with a new book sometime in September and October--I can't wait to read it!

So many stories, so little time.

Looks like a lot of good reads on your list. I think "Steamed" is on the top of my TBB list, but it's so hard to narrow it down.

If Gregory Maguire will just come out with a new Adult Fantasy!!! And I always look forward to Phillipa Gregory's new stuff.

My 13 is listed below my Thursday Thunks...scroll down a bit on my blog entry. It's all about odd surnames and their origins today ---like Suess, etc. Here they are I'm going through the Mr. Linky right now, so if you've stopped by already and I didn't know.......thanks for the visit.

So many books, too little time. My bookshelf is always overflowing, with a mix of fiction, nonfiction and recipe books... I don't really keep up on what's being released soon, as I usually wait for it to be either in paperback or on my Kindle... I'm bargain-ish like that...

Great list, happy reading.

Jehara ~ The sad part is, I still book 2 on loan from my friend to read. January was not a good reading month.

Shelley ~ Yup, book ten is about to be released, and she is contracted for two or three more.

Ms M ~ Well, there is that problem, too. Sometimes a trip to the bookstore results in a serious tug-of-war as to which books I want most at that time. Darn budget...

Adelle ~ Have not heard of Speak, but am glad you're enjoying it!

Brenda ~ Thank you, and thanks for visiting!

Elise ~ So cool you have the originals! I only discovered Kay Hooper a couple years ago, but have enjoyed catching up on her old romances, as well as glomming all her new Bishop books. I have the latest Bishop coming to me on loan soon. *vbg*

Kaye ~ Thanks, I think they look pretty good. I'm especially looking forward to continuing some of the mystery series.

JourneyWoman ~ I've never read Jon Stewart, but hope you find the wait for his newest worthwhile. Happy reading!

Colleen ~ Tell me about it, LOL! This is hardly even a dent in the TBB, and my TBR is already quite huge.

Ella ~ Can't say I've heard of Steamed, but as long as you enjoy it, that's all that really matters, right? *g*

Hootin Anni ~ You know, I have not read Grogory McGuire, but my one sister loves his books and has seen Wicked in Chicago. Did she invite me to go along? Of course not! Hmph!

Heather said...

Jennifer ~ Thank you, and thanks for missing me!

Paige ~ Thanks, I think there are some great books to look forward to over the coming months.

Sherilee ~ There's never enough time to read all the books we want. All of those on my list are PPB (well, one trade size, but it's still ppb, lol) and mostly new releases as well. The big exception is the MaryJanice Davidson. The publisher did one of my biggest peeves--switched her books from paperback to hardcover in mid-series--so I've been waiting for this one to be re-released in PPB almost a year now.

Has it been that long? I'm over here all the time anyway. Guess I didn't really notice.

Heather said...

Alice ~ Yup, my last T13 was "Winter Wonderland" at Christmas. I took NYE off as I was nto home, and meant to post pics from that the next week when stuff happened. Ah, well...I'm back now!

Sasha Devlin said...

I don't torture myself with release dates because they make me twitch.

I'm taking notes on some of these books -- I'm always looking for more. And I have to get back to Kay Hooper. She scared the beejesus out of me a few yrs ago so I had to stop.

I am anxiously awaiting the New Kresley Cole, Gena Showalter and Lynsay Sands titles (the last one cliff hanged!)

A. Catherine Noon said...

My own? ~giggles~

No, seriously, thank you for sharing your TBB pile. It's always fun to see what other writers and readers are into!!

Happy TT!

Stephanie Adkins said...

Great list! I love Nora. :) Happy Thursday!

Heather said...

Sasha ~ It's probably a good thing Kay Hooper only has one new book out a year now. The psychopaths in her Bishop series can really give you chills!

Catherine ~ HA! You know, I almost added "Besides your own" to that question for this very reason, LOL. Thanks for checking out my list!

Stephanie ~ What's not to love? As we know, Nora is Queen! *g*

Amazing that I actually read some of these books myself. I love the Sookie series, and can't wait for the next season of True Blood! Happy TT!
