The TBR shelf

(Click photo to enlarge)

This is the TBR (to be read) shelf. It is by no means all of the books in my TBR pile, only those I hope to get to soonest. There are two rows per shelf, plus a few stacked sideways. Second shelf from top on the right is all Christmas-themed books. I did a good job clearing that out a bit last December. I'm thinking I might have to do a "Christmas in July" challenge and see if I can't reduce it by a few more. Second shelf from bottom left is all classics, with a few of those spilling over to the shelf below. The top left shelf are the books up next on my reading list, which include a few challenge or group read books. I read 14 books in May; let's see how well I do for June! Oh, and the string of beaded angels hanging down in the middle? That was a gift from my friend Nina a few years ago. *g*

ahh I see you have some Sherryl Woods on your shelf. I just discovered her not too long ago and plan to read more. Looks like you have many pleasant hours of reading ahead of you. Have a great week and happy reading!

Kaye: Yes, I've meaning to read that trilogy for about a year now. Oops! There are always so many great-sounding books out all at once that it is impossible to keep up with them all.

Yours puts mine to shame. ;-)

Jana: Hehe...I'll take that as a compliment. ;)

And here I thought I had a lot of books in my TBR-pile... I'm not even close.

Cool that you still have those angels! I haven't made those in ages. Maybe I should start making them again. I wonder if I remember how...

Nina: Yeah, I don't think anyone I know has as many books on the TBR shelf as I do.

I thought those angels would make your day. They do a good job guarding my books. *VBG*

I've been trying real hard to keep my TBR somewhere between 50 and a couple hundred. Mine used to rival yours, but I moved and didn't want to deal with so many books, so whittled it down.

Yes, all those books will definitely make moving at end of summer interesting. Some people know to expect lots of heavy boxes of books, others are in for a surprise. hehe...
