Alice Audrey said...: He was part of The Monkey Wrench Gang, kind of a precursor to the more violent end of Green Peace. He wrote extensively of the joys of being in nature, but was not really a nature freak himself as he wasn't the least bit dewy eyed about all his back country camping. Big in the 60's.
