Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
* Grab your current book or recent read.
* Share a few “teaser” sentences from somewhere in the book.
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away. You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title and author so that other participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teaser!

Kate Collins is the Featured Author for the Good Reads Cozy Mysteries group, so figured I would kick off the year by catching up on a couple of her books from the TBR shelves, starting with Acts of Violets, book five in her "Flower Shop" mystery series. Have not yet started this one, but am about to do so. My teaser is the opening paragraph of the book.
“You think that was funny? You think I don’t know you did that on purpose? Well, I’ve got your number, shorty, so let me tell you something: Paybacks are murder.”
(Page one)
ABOUT THE BOOK:
During the annual Pickle Fest, Abby's boyfriend Marco inexplicably disappears for a day. When he returns, he's the main suspect in the death of a clown. It seems the cops have found Snuggles pushing up water-spurting daisies-and Marco was the last person seen leaving Snuggles's house. Although Marco is still a mystery to her, Abby knows he's innocent. Now she has to find a way to prove it.

They sound like they have a lot of spunk! My teaser comes from a collection of short stories by L.M. Montgomery.
Payback! WOO! I have been meaning to read this series forever! My co-worker gave me the first four or five books so I need to dive in soon!
My Teaser Tuesday
I'm in the mood for a mystery, so I might have to give tis one a try. I like the teaser.
Here's my teaser.
This is a new to me author, but The blurb sounds interesting. Payback is always murder :)

That sounds really cute. I haven't read anything by this author. I'll have to check it out.
My teasers are from Jessica Rules the Dark Side by Beth Fantaskey and Future Perfect by Suzanne Brockmann. Happy reading!
Sounds good and great teaser!

Sandra: There's nothing like curling up on a cold winter night with a cozy mystery or a romance!
Beth: The heroine in this series definitely has spunk!
Jennifer M: Hehe...nothing like payback. I read the first four in this series earlier last year and was planning to catch up a bit this year. Collins being selected as this month's featured author was a good reason to pull a couple more off the TBR pile.
Majanka: I highly recommend this series, but please note that it is book five in a series, and I do suggest reading them in order if possible.
Shelley: I have featured this author previously. Mum's the Word (book one) was a Teaser on June 8, 2010 and Slay it With Flowers (book 2) was featured Feb 15, 2011.
Anya: It is a good opener, isn't it?
Sam: The books in this series never fail to entertain, and are usually pretty fast reads.
Lisa: Paybacks can indeed be murder. Can't wait to really get into this one!
Laurel-Rain: I hope you do pick up this series (I recommend reading from the beginning). I have yet to be disappointed by a book in this series.
Kathy M: I have not read her historicals, but do enjoy this series.
Trib Books Mama: Thank you, these are usually good reads.
Murder? That's worse than the usual threat.
Just a bit. ;-)
