Teaser Tuesday 126: Twin Killing

This week's teaser comes from a local author, and a book that has been in languishing in Mount TBR a few years now. Twin Killing by Marshall Cook is the third of four books in his Monona Quinn mystery series. This is the concluding paragraph of chapter five:

She's probably overreacting to a poor fellow down on his luck. She's been jumpy since her encounters with two killers in the space of three months, after all. He's no doubt harmless, she decides, as she walks to the truck to see if she can help carry in the food.
