Happy graduation!

A friend's son graduated from high school two weeks ago. It seems like only yesterday he was a cute little kid in elementary school. Okay, so it's been ten since he was in the second grade, when this photo was taken. It feels like it was yesterday, though.

He may still be a cute kid, but he definitely isn't little anymore. Not only does Zach now tower over most of the adults in his life (yes, including me), he will be leaving for Army bootcamp in Georgia at end of July. Here's wishing him well!

This is the card I made for his graduation.

Stamps: Stars & Swirls (on dark blue, SU)
Paper: 'Golden Starlight' from Scrapbook Customs; 'Success Stripes' from Karen Foster; Blue from SU
Ink: Night of Navy (SU)
Accessories: Grad Cap sticker (Designs by Reminisce); Ribbon (Hats Off from The Paper Co)

That is a really pretty graduation card. I don't think either of my (ungrateful) cousins who graduated this year would have appreciated it for the work of art it is. They didn't seem to appreciate the (money stuffed) store bought cards, anyway. :-/

Thanks, Jana--not only did it take me less than half an hour to make, Zach did seem to appreciate it. Now I need to make one for his upcoming birthday/going away party.
