Shelley: While there are a great many spring flowers - daffodils, tulips, puccoons, lilies - it seems even more prevelent in summer flowers. I love visiting Greene Prairie in late August, when different variety of sunflowers and goldenrod are in bloom, many of which tower overhead. ☺

They are lovely in a Zen kind of way.
Aren't they? It's too bad they are so fleeting.
They are so coiffed ,,, to perfection ... and so brightly yellow!
Colleen: Aren't they bright and cheery? ☺
These are so pretty. Yellow is cheerful in flowers. Makes me think of spring.
