Wordless Wednesday 142: Bird at the Window

A couple times over the past two weeks, I could hear what sounded like a bird hitting my office window, and figured he must be going after bugs caught in a spiderweb. I finally caught the culprit yesterday, a pretty yellow bird -- what looks like a yellow warbler. I think I'll hold off cleaning the outside of the window a while longer, and see if he returns. . .

I had no idea birds would take bugs right out of spider webs. Smart!

Sheryl: I had no idea, either, but here's photographic proof. As you say, very smart! :)

Yeah, but you need to clean the window to get a good picture.

Alice: Yes, it's a bit of a double-edged sword, LOL. I did clean the inside, but am still reluctant to do the outside. I would like to try for a clearer photo, though, should he return.

A very industrious bird! We have goldfinches that land on our sunflowers. So much yellow!

Margaret: I've seen a lot of finches along a nearby bike path where there are a lot of sunflowers and coneflowers, but have not seen any in my backyard. Love seeing those bright splashes of yellow!

Funny! Smart bird. We have birds thumping on our 3rd floor windows in the library. I wonder if this is what they're doing! :-D
