Skywatch Friday 51

These were taken last Saturday, March 8, when it was not only sunny, but above freezing for a change. Alas, do to circumstances beyond my control, I was not able to get out and enjoy it as hoped. Maybe this weekend . . .

Wonderful shots of the sky with trees.

I hope the circumstances had nothing to do with catching a cold. You've already had your year's quota.

Great winter skies. Hope for you that temps will continue to rise:)

Denise: Thank you, won't be long before my window view is diminished by green leaves.

Rajesh: Thank you!

Alice: No, not a cold. I felt fine Saturday morning, but was laid low in the afternoon by a stomach bug and sore hip. Oh, I didn't tell you about the hip, did I?

Coming back from the store Saturday morning, I was body-slammed into the floor-to-ceiling grab bar when the bus I thought had stopped suddenly lurched forward a few more yards. My favorite bus driver was not so favorite as left shoulder, hip and thigh hit made contact.

While shoulder and leg seemed okay -- didn't even feel bruised -- my hip hurt royally over the weekend, and was especially bad on Monday and Tuesday. A long walk Saturday and/or Sunday might have helped, but with the stomach ills could not go anywhere.

Thanks, Carol! ☺

Jeanette: Thank you, I hope the temps start going up again, too. I'm ready for a nice 60 or 70-degree day!

And yet it still feels like Winter.

It sure did yesterday and over the weekend. We're actually supposed to be above 40 for a couple days before it falls back into the 30s again. Gotta 'love' March...

Looks wonderful. Sky's so blue. Hope you get another warm and sunny day soon that you CAN get out and enjoy.

Heather said...

Jana: The problem is, almost every time we've had blue skies and sun this winter, it's come with below freezing temperatures. It's snowing right now, but supposed to warm up to 40 this afternoon, and 50 by Friday.

I guess even a favorite bus driver will mess up now and then. Sounds like quite the lurch to do so much damage.

Uh-huh -- on both counts. Just one of the reasons I HATE the new buses that are 3/4 inward-facing seats instead of 3/4 forward-facing. There's no way to brace yourself. If I had been holding on to one of the straps I likely would have pulled a shoulder or neck muscle, which wouldn't have been good, either.
